The Six Nations Rebels will commence their playoffs on June 23 on quite a roll.

The Junior B lacrosse club, no doubt, has high hopes for a lengthy post-season run.

That’s because the Rebels have yet to taste defeat in their 2023 campaign. The Six Nations club registered a perfect 20-0-0 regular season mark.

The Rebels are now preparing for their opening round of the playoffs, which begins Friday. Six Nations will host the Owen Sound North Stars in Game 1 of their best-of-five Ontario Lacrosse Association’s Eastern Conference quarter-final series.

That match will be held at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Six Nations, beginning at 8 p.m.

The North Stars will then host Game 2 in the series on June 25. That will be a matinee affair, starting at 4 p.m.

The Rebels will be looking to continue their winning streak and also improve upon their 2022 post-season fortunes.

The Six Nations squad failed to win a playoff game last year as it was swept 3-0 in its best-of-five, opening-round playoff series versus the Hamilton Bengals.

The Rebels are one of 23 clubs that competed in their provincial league this season. If the Six Nations team does go on to capture the Ontario title this summer, it will advance to the national Junior B tournament, the Founders Cup, scheduled for Aug. 14 to Aug. 20 in Port Coquitlam, B.C.
