Officials with Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario are encouraging lifelong involvement in sport, and June 1 they hosted a Masters Co-ed Volleyball tournament at the Rama First Nation MASK Sports Complex.
The tourney attracted teams from near and far. In fact as far away as Pessamit, Que., a 13-hour drive away. Martin Bacon is on that team. He said the competition is strong, but the team was just looking for some fun. And that's what all the teams were having.
Winning teams were:
1st Akwesasne Aces
2nd All Nations
3rd Joel Kennedy
