It was a special celebration held on July 5 in the community hall when the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation paid tribute to the achievements of their students who had graduated. The ceremony, which took place before the annual powwow, included putting beaded eagle feathers in the graduates’ hair and providing star blankets to the young people.
